The real cost of how you get paid

Stripe and manual check aren’t just two payment methods — they carry a genuinely different fee stack. Here’s the actual breakdown, not a footnote.

Vendeal’s platform fee only applies to payments a vendor chooses to run through Stripe — it’s a variable fee of 0.25%–1% of transaction value, capped per transaction, and scaled to plan (roughly 1% max on Starter, 0.5% on Professional, 0.25% on Enterprise). It is added on top of Stripe’s own fees. Nothing about the rest of Vendeal requires using Stripe to get paid.

The $0 path

Manual check or ACH settled outside Vendeal’s payment rails — the way most vendors already get paid today — carries no Vendeal platform fee and no Stripe fees, because nothing runs through Stripe. It’s a fully supported path, not a legacy option kept around for stragglers.

What Stripe itself charges

You pay every Stripe fee at cost — card and ACH processing, payouts, disputes, connected-account fees — and Vendeal never pays one for you. They’re shown as separate lines from Vendeal’s platform fee, which varies by plan and goes on top. Instant Pay works the same way: Stripe’s instant-payout fee at cost, plus a Vendeal Instant Pay fee that follows your plan’s rate.

The one flat fee

E-contracting execution is priced separately from all of the above: $2–$5 per F&I contract, flat, independent of transaction value or plan tier.
